The Akarua vineyard is a unique site, measuring 52 hectares, 34.5 of which planted with vines. A classic Marlborough Pinot Noir, showing ripe red berry fruits, plum, chocolate and hints of nutmeg. The palate has a seamless combination of concentrated tannins and a rich supple texture. Delicious drinking now, this wine will soften and gain more complex truffle, smoke, and dried fruit notes with further bottle age.

Highly aromatic with bright cherry and redcurrant, lifted red fruits coupled with savoury spice and dried herb offer an alluring and enticing nose. The palate is elegant and refined with fruit intensity matched with a supple and silky tannin structure.

A medium bodied wine, with ripe tannins and acidity which testify his capability to age. It develops very delicate aromas and a long lasting finish.

Crimson is our selection of fruit from younger parcels of vines from our various vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace. In their youth, vines tend to be more fruit expressive, gaining more complexity with time. Now, Crimson is developing more depth of flavour, with a mix of vines aged from 5 to 20 years.

A medium-bodied, smooth style Pinot Noir produced from Babich's organic certified Headwaters Vineyard in the Wairau Valley. Finely textured layers of black cherry and plum flavours, with hints of nutmeg and liquorice.

This Pinot Noir has a deep ruby colour and offers a complex aroma of dark forest fruits, wild thyme and subtle smoke. The palate has flavours of vibrant blackberries and cherries, with a glossy mouthfeel, delicate acidity and plush tannins. Pair with chargrilled meats and game dishes.

The unrelenting environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce wine worthy of absolution. These wines are sinfully succulent and devilishly good.
